Happy New Year!
The celebrations are over, and now the New Year comes barreling in...what are you resolving to do this year?
I laughed out loud this morning as I logged on to www.Ask.com.
The question of the day was:
Q:
Who established the idea of New Year's resolutions?
A:
The Babylonians created New Year's resolutions, the most common of which was to return borrowed farm equipment.
I laughed---hard---because I had just gotten done telling myself to return my neighbor's snack tables today. I borrowed them a couple of weeks ago for a party and hadn't had a chance to walk them back across the street.
So I will do that today, but I hope to do a lot more than that in the days and year ahead.
How about you?

I'm starting a business. How's THAT for a resolution!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'd be wary of anything started by the Babylonians. Didn't they end badly? :)

ReplyDeleteGood Luck to you! I own a business (personal training) and believe me it's not easy...rewarding, fun, I wouldn't have it any other way...just not easy!

Well, I've decided being unemployed isn't easy either! Might as well do something and have some fun (fun=personal satisfaction, I hope) along the way.
ReplyDeletePeace!
