The Yankee Stadium Detail

There are a select number of cops that leave the precinct in late March and are not seen again until September...or later...depending on how well the Yankees do in the playoffs. They pull officers from several Bronx precincts, and the people that go are generally off patrol for those summer months, dealing with the joy of victory, the agony of defeat, and...routine police procedure like getting traffic in and out of the Stadium.

My mind turns to this today as it is a beautiful day in the Northeast. A perfect Spring-like day for baseball. Soon the guys at Roc's precinct will be leaving for their annual jaunt. I asked Roc if there was any chance he could get that detail this summer.

His answer: no such luck.
And he's a HUGE Yankee Fan!

  1. He should do the paid details there, that's how Chancho gets his games in! He works 3 games a month, just about. (Of course that would mean he would have to do them on his days off, but if he's as big a fan as Chancho is, then it's worth it!)

  2. TM: Love the idea...but Rocco is still involved in his family's business and believe it or not, when he has "off" (NYPD)---he's at his family's business all day long.
    LOL---I think he works enough!
    Thanks for the info!

  3. Thats a nice gig. Kinda the same for the Anadeim police department. Even better is when "security" deals with the problems and then brings the bad eggs to the coppers.
