Home Again

We're back!
In case you haven't noticed...we've been away, and the truth of the matter is that I really wanted to let you guys know before we left that we were heading out West for a much-needed break.

That being said, I am married to a cop.

If you're married to a cop, you're already chuckling. But just in case you need a little more info, our conversation before we left went a little something like this:

Stella: Do you think I should post on the blog that we're going away? I mean, I'm not sure if I'll be able to blog at the hotel...
Rocco: Sounds like a great idea, Stell. In fact, while you're at it, why don't you hang a great big banner outside and let the whole neighborhood know that our house is empty and that whatever's left is there for the taking? Better yet: change the outgoing message on the answering machine; that way you can let the whole wide WORLD know that we're gone, and that all burglars are welcome!
Stella: Okay, OKAY!

So...needless to say...from the Paranoia Office came the dictate, and now I am happy to say that we're back, safe and perhaps a bit sounder, having had a whole six days together without work, other people, stress (not counting the airport) and anything that even closely resembled healthy food.

More details to follow!

  1. Being married to a cop does require some much needed rest from time to time. We are celebrating our 6 yr anniv. this weekend (I just posted about it) Looking forward to those other details he he Best!

  2. Oh for fork's sake, really? REALLY? Have you ever blogged any details that would make your house identifiable? In the slightest? I mean, I agree with his not wanting to broadcast it, but he can give you a LITTLE more credit than that:)

  4. I get all this from the same guy who cheers when stupid people post that they are away on Facebook, then give details as to how long they will be away, then get their house broken into, THEN go crying to the police...you have no idea how much he revels in these type scenarios...! But he's my lunatic, right? Lucky me!
    ;) XO SCW Stella
