Before you think I'm making up some sort of new Caveman rant (I actually miss those Geico commercials) let me assure you: I am.
UNGA actually stands for the U.N. General Assembly, which if you haven't heard, is going on this week in NYC.
Because the UN's Headquarters are in NYC, guess what that means? You got it...LOTS of NYPD officers being sent over to the UN facility, to work right alongside the Secret Service, JTTF, The New York State Police...you name it...even the dogs work overtime this week in NYC.
All so various politicians can pontificate about their view of the world.
Once again, this is the price our officers pay for working in the Capital of the World...let's hope that something gets accomplished this time around.
