As We Should

Since I've been on the topic of the Fire Department, I find it only right to take today's post and honor a fallen hero. Yesterday the FDNY lost Lt. Rich Nappi, a 17-year veteran who became overheated and collapsed while battling a fire in Brooklyn. He went into cardiac arrest at the scene and later died at a Brooklyn hospital.
Lt. Nappi was off-duty on 9/11, but responded to the World Trade Center. He worked at Ground Zero in the weeks after the terrorist attacks, serving his city with bravery. He leaves behind a wife and two young children.
