After 9/11, every New Yorker had a story: where were you when...you heard about the first plane...the second plane...the Towers fell...? I've come to find out that people around the world have a story about that day; it's my generation's "Where were you when they shot President Kennedy?"
It seems as if this Storm has caused the same type of conversations to stir: where were you when you lost power? Did you hear what happened to...? When did you get power back? Did you see that tree?!
I am still praying for those of us who are still struggling without power; praying for all New Yorkers that our lives will return to some semblance of normal...hoping and wishing and praying that the sting these stories carry will lessen in time.
