Unlike the majority of American teenagers today, my focus was not college. There was no money for college, and no support, emotional or otherwise. I was in full-out survival mode.
I worked anywhere I could, and I often had three different part-time jobs at one time. I didn't care. I wanted out. I wanted to write, I wanted to move, and I wanted to make something of myself.
Then I met him. Oh Boy...and my whole world changed.
