Never Forget

Once again, this day comes to me unbidden, a somber reminder of so many things we lost that fateful day...a friend, a family member, a little piece of innocence...perhaps more...and I cannot believe that it's been twelve years since my heart was broken open.
People keep asking me if having a child has changed me; in some ways, some ways...I'm still me. What I'll share with you is this: I woke up today wondering what I will tell my son. When the time comes, and there are other voices such as his teachers, his school, his friends, and perhaps even their parents...what will I choose to tell him about this day? I want my voice to be the one that resonates, and I wish that he will see my truth as his own. That's how having a kid changes begin to think about things you've never thought about before...and your goal is to always do the right thing, even when it comes to explaining the inexplicable.

  1. When the times come the words will come because love is behind it all.

    Miss you at the gym.
    Be well,
