Friday Night Fever!

When Roc was in the Academy, we would go out to dinner every Friday night. It was a way to decompress and connect. Some nights we would go out for BBQ; some Fridays we went fancy-schmancy, but either way Fridays were our night and I for one looked forward to them all week.

When Roc was working midnights, we would have dinner together every Friday night before he left for work. Friday is the one night that I'm home (I work in the AM on Fridays) and I would always make sure to wake him up with enough time for a meal before he left. I hated to see him go, but it was a stolen moment for us that was better than nothing.

Roc came home regular time last night and I was awake. He has this Friday and Saturday off for a change. We have plans to meet our friends out for dinner on Saturday. As he was peeling his layers off while trying to give our dog a belly rub, he asked me if I wanted to go out to dinner Friday night...just the two of us. He mentioned one of our favorite restaurants from the Academy days.

I'm IN ~!!!

I'm a foodie so I would love it if you shared where you went and what it was like. . .

  2. I'm sure your friends won't mind; if they do, they don't get it.

  3. Terrific!! The Mr. is still on midnights and I sooo enjoy dinner together as a family. I stay at home but I'll take all the time I can with him :-) It's refreshing to know others 'get' the schedule. Have a wonderful weekend together!!

  4. OK Foodies...
This was a truly elegant place that we splurge on every so often:
We both had escargot to start; He had a homemade pasta dish with shrimp and asparagus in a pink sauce; I had a scallop dish in a champagne risotto.
    It was magnificent!
