As overheard on the phone last night:
"Hey!" I grabbed for the phone and checked the clock. A little late, not bad.
"I'm wheels up." He sounded more than tired; weary.
"So how was it?" I always ask about his shift, because I rarely get to speak to him at any time during it.
"Our dog is less of an animal than the savage beasts I was dealing with tonight."
I started laughing. "Really?"
He started laughing too. "Really."

so true. I always ask The Mr. about his day when he comes home. More times than not, I'm half a sleep and he is ready to "tell it like it was". We've resolved that it's ok if I just say 'oh ok' more than once. Most times he just wants to vent. LOL. Most times I don't need the details first thing in the morning as I reach for caffeine LOL
