Today is a tough day; no different from any other, not a special anniversary or anything that would dictate the feelings that are swirling around inside my soul.
My only solace is that the very last words I ever said to her were:
I love you.
And she said I love you too.
And I told her I would see her next weekend.
And I never saw her again.
