The above picture is an LAPD Christmas ornament buddied up against an NYPD Christmas ornament; both are depictions of their department's shield/badge.
An LAPD CopWife sent this to me and I loved it...then I thought about the fact in just about a week, we'll be having our Annual Christmas Party, and like so many in Law enforcement, the room will be filled with other LEO types: the NYPD will be represented, a few local cops, hell, we've even invited a couple of Feds to round out the group. That night, there will be some "talking shop," but there will also be a whole lot of eating, and drinking, and Holiday Merriment. I find it amazing how all the people at our place will get along just fine; they'll be able to take each other in, and see each other's point of view, and certainly share more than a few laughs. Wouldn't it be nice if it could always be that way?
