Prayers and Good Energy

I am asking everyone to send prayers and good energy towards Brother NYPD Officer Kevin Brennan who was shot in the head late Tuesday night in Brooklyn...he is in stable condition after a bullet was removed from the base of his skull. His wife just gave birth SIX weeks ago; and I cannot even imagine the emotional roller coaster she is on right now...please send love their way at this very difficult time.

For those of you not from the NYC area: he is in the hospital in Manhattan, but the couple lives on Long Island; that alone is logistically trying; add in a newborn, raging hormones, and the sheer trauma of her husband being shot and this Cop Wife needs all the help, love, and prayers we can offer up at this time.

Of course, the perp has FOURTEEN prior arrests and the little bastard actually had the nerve to make "kissy-face" noises and rant and rave while being walked out of the station house after this last arrest. He will be charged with attempted murder of a police officer, assault on a police officer, criminal possession of a weapon, and menacing.

Not enough, as far as I'm concerned.

He and his Perp-a-licious family can all go to hell. I saw the "Perp Walk" on TV last night and was disgusted to see his family cheering him on and shouting their undying love for him from behind the barricades, all while tussling with reporters and police.

Here's the kicker:

The Brennans' landlady, Catarina Didrickson, said the family moved to the neighborhood, which has a New Hyde Park mailing address, about two years ago.

"When I heard this, I asked myself, 'Why in the world does someone become a cop?' " she said.
