As a Writer, I LOVE lyrics. Whenever I hear a new song, I feel like if I don't like the lyrics, it doesn't matter how good the melody is...there have been songs I have really liked, but after further investigation of the writer's intent...not so much.
In an effort to come up with a fun way to give away an SCW T-Shirt, I thought I would throw out a few of my favorite lyrics from random songs, and see if you you guys could guess.
IF you can guess both the title and the artist, comment them back to me (or email: firstname.lastname@example.org) and you are automatically ENTERED TO WIN!! It's that easy! Then I will pick a winner...NEXT FRIDAY...and soon be shipping your SCW Tee out to you!
SO here goes:
---Don't Google and cheat...really have some fun and take a minute to try and figure it out!---
1)She never cared for me
But did she ever say a prayer for me?
2)And the three men I admire most
The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost
They caught the last train for the coast
3)And oh, if you're listening, God, please don't make it hard
To know if we should believe the things that we see...
Hint: they're secular songs, even though each set of lyrics has something to do with God.
